How to Find Your IP Address on iPhone

On an iPhone, there are also two kinds of IP address: your local Wi-Fi IP and the public IP the internet sees. Here's how to find both in a few simple steps.

Finding your public IP

Open Safari (or any other browser) and go to Show-IP.ir — your public IP address, country, city, carrier, and connection security status show up instantly, no extra app needed.

Finding your local Wi-Fi IP

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap the (i) icon next to your connected Wi-Fi network.
  4. Under IPv4 Address, the value next to IP Address is your phone's local IP.

Why is this different from the IP shown on Show-IP.ir?

Your Wi-Fi IP only means something on the network you're connected to, while Show-IP.ir shows your public IP — the address any server on the internet actually sees. Read the full difference in Private vs Public IP.

Key takeaways

  • Public IP: open Show-IP.ir in Safari.
  • Local Wi-Fi IP: Settings → Wi-Fi → (i) next to the network name → IPv4 Address.
